An Update from Uruguay!

Uruguay is one of the most secular countries in Latin America where so many no-good things are legal that are not in others. We are happy to be here, believing God is using us for sharing his love and grace with our brothers and sisters.
Eunice is originally from Ecuador and her passion is to connect people for reaching others with the Gospel. Since she was young, she has been involved with Short Term Missions Trips where she served for many years in her home country, for her, the best way to do it is through Compassion Ministries and Connections, and she is dedicating her life to sharing the love of Christ in tangible ways with the ones who need it.
Eleazar has served with Youth With A Mission for many years, one of his passions is to teach and preach the Gospel of Christ to the youth and adults, helping others to go deeper in their lives in Christ and serve through music.
Since they got married in 2019 they started to live in Uruguayserving in a small local church and are gladly serving kids, leading the youth, and the music.
Uruguay is the kind of place where it can take years of being in a relationship with people before they’re even willing to hear about Jesus. Eunice led a youth group and has been such a nice journey. Here, the people face diverse spiritual problems such as depression, being one of the countries with the highest suicide statistics in Latin America. The World Health Organization had set a goal: “By 2020, suicide rates in countries should fall to 10 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. But Uruguay is double the target figure and, consequently, double the world average.” Some of the youth we are contacting are going through deep emotional problems.
Eleazar despite his busy work schedule does his best at serving through the music, the youth, and everything he can do. He desires to be able to serve God more and to have more time for that.
We are also part of the team that is reaching the community by serving the kids through a Soccer School Program, and Bible School, and sharing lunch with them on Saturdays. These kids are special, and we want them to feel loved by Jesus and realize how important they are to the Kingdom of God.
We also would like to know if you could kindly consider in prayer sharing this with your Christian friends’ network and Missions Pastor at your church or other churches you might know and help us spread the word of this news.
Thank you for reading us, and for all your love and support in different ways, may the Lord keep blessing you in everything you do.
Your friends,
Eleazar & Eunice
