When I returned from Ecuador
When I returned from Ecuador, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful experience! Even though this is my tenth trip to Ecuador we were a bit anxious because of Covid. I am happy to share that our team enjoyed a fantastic time with our brothers and sisters! Since we had to limit our ministry events to 25 people, we had more time with each individual and could schedule a larger number of events. The children were so excited to have the opportunity to meet, participate in crafts, and learn about Jesus. It was a joy! The women were equally as engaged in our “hands-on” salvation bracelet craft. A highlight for our team was delivering gift bags of food to homes. The people were so grateful and appreciative.
This year, our translator and guide were Lorena and she did an incredible job! Not only is she a skilled translator but she is patient and kind. It was a joy to watch Lorena translate the story of Jonah and the whale to the children – she was so animated! She was a valuable addition to our team, and we will miss her. Our schedule was full, but we were not overbooked with activities. The team enjoyed our afternoon at the glorious beach – within walking distance from our hotel.
